Dear Potential Volunteer:
Volunteers are a critical part of each club rugby team - and we can't succeed without you!
We hope you will support the players by attending matches, by participating in fundraisers, and by cheering for the team.
We always need volunteers to fill many of the committee roles on this page. If you are able to help out, please complete the contact form and let us know where you'd like to "give back" to the club!
TRIBE Rugby Board of Directors
The membership committee is responsible for welcoming all new players to the team or club, and obtaining all of the required registration paperwork and items for all players to be rostered as part of TRIBE. The membership committee is comprised of each team's manager and ensures each player is CIPP'd with USA Rugby and is imputed into the SCYR Competition Management System (CMS). Prior to each game, the membership committee will work with the head coach to ensure a roster for the match is complete.
Fundraising & Spirit Wear Committee:
The fundraising committee is responsible for scheduling and coordinating the primary fundraising activities of individual teams, and TRIBE as a whole, to help us to purchase necessary equipment and to provide financial assistance for players whose families can not afford to pay the full cost of registration. As part of their fundraising duties, the committee also coordinates the purchase and sale of Club Spirit Wear.
Game Day & Equipment Committee:
The Game Day Committee is responsible for working with local high schools and the County of San Diego to secure and reserve the use of rugby fields for training sessions, practices, practice games, league games and tournaments. The committee also monitors the equipment needs of the Club, including all balls, ball bags, hitting bags, flags or cones for practices, scrum machine, goal posts and field marking paint. As needed, the committee will organize volunteers for marking and painting all fields prior to all home matches.
Concessions and Hospitality Committee:
The Concessions Committee is responsible for coordinating the purchase, stocking and sale of various menu items including snacks and beverages for players, parents, coaches and fans at TRIBE home games. After each home game, the Chair of the Committee will coordinate with ECRFC’s Treasurer to ensure all funds are accounted for, and deposited in a timely manner. The Concessions Committee is also responsible for coordinating and providing the hospitality meal for the players after home games.
The Alumni Committee is responsible for helping to promote the teams, the TRIBE, and to help grow the sport of rugby in San Diego County. Specifically, in concert with the TRIBE Board of Directors, the Alumni Committee assists in planning and hosting the awards banquet and helps the fundraising committee in raising necessary funds for the team's strategic growth.
